Beyond his substantive research, Professor Connolly is actively engaged in the theory and practice of legal education and academic governance. He has published on these topics and spearheaded significant educational reform initiatives within the ANU Law School.

With a background as an Indigenous rights lawyer, Professor Connolly has worked closely with Indigenous communities in Western Australia on native title, cultural heritage protection, and other human rights matters. His research, teaching, leadership, and outreach activities at ANU reflect his ongoing commitment to these areas of expertise.
